Mapping the railway lines of Australia

Whilst regular Google Maps do show railway lines, they are not visible until you zoom right in.

Our aim here is to provide a view of Australian railway lines in such a way as they are always visible, no matter what zoom level you choose.

We are also going to provide a means to display only the railway line/s you are interested in viewing. e.g.- Sydney to Melbourne, Adelaide to Darwin, Main lines only, Branch lines only, etc.

This is a very complex task and will take quite some time before we have the major lines plotted.

As we progress & refine further, we hope to provide dis-used lines as well.
