Now mapping the railway lines of Australia

Join us in one of the largest projects we have ever taken to task. Simply by uploading images to our website, you will be helping to "draw" the railway lines of Australia onto a customized Google Map.
Once you upload your image you will be given the opportunity to drag the marker that is displayed to the exact location of the train on the track when you took your image.
This will allow us to join the markers to produce an overlay on top of a Google map of Australia displaying all railway lines.
You will also have your own personal map displaying markers for all your own images.

This map allows the photographer to move each marker to a new position for accuracy if the marker that was automatically generated while uploading needs adjustment.

My Rail Scenes Notifications

The My Rail Scenes Notifications widget is available to any rail enthusiast for keeping notified of images being uploaded to our website.
Running minimized to the clock area the notifier can give you an audio notification of new images.
The widget is fully customizable to suit your own preferences. Control how often you want the widget to check for new images, whether you want an audio notification & the volume of the notification.
